"Transport and Energy:   the Challenge of Climate Change"

The International Transport Forum will include an exhibition each year, alongside and concurrent with the substantive sessions.

The purpose of the exhibition is to provide a platform - open to the public - for display of the latest technology, innovative government and private sector initiatives, and policy good practice in the area of focus for the Forum, which in 2008 is "Transport and Energy: the Challenge of Climate Change".

Themes for the exhibition include:

  • Energy efficiency technologies, vehicles and their on-board equipment, alternative fuel production and use.
  • Good practice in energy efficiency/CO2 mitigation:
    --  Corporate/company operations
    --  Local/municipal and national climate change/transport CO2 reduction strategies
    --  Others

Invited to participate as exhibitors are:

  • Companies/corporations (vehicle and equipment manufacturers, fuel companies, environmental technology firms, etc.)
  • NGOs (environmental, business, etc.)
  • Authorities at local, regional, national level
  • Industry associations and organizations
  • Researchers

Types of displays include posters and/or exhibit booths, demonstration areas - both inside and possibly outside for larger vehicle demos - will also be available.

The exhibition will be organised by the International Transport Forum in the Congress Centre Leipzig (CCL), part of Leipziger Messe's modern exhibition and convention centre.
